Residents can schedule curbside pickup of one “bulky item” per week, funded by the town.
Please note: Pembroke adheres to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Master Plan's banned, prohibited or restricted items lists. Capitol Waste is the contractor overseeing this process on the town's behalf. The DEP has classified some items as restricted from curbside collection of trash, as they are identified as recyclable at a local area facility. Most of these larger, recyclable items are welcome at Pembroke's Wilson Whittaker Recycling Center on Hobomock Street ("restricted disposal"). Some items, such as hazardous waste, are not accepted. Mass DEP provides more guidance here.
Residents should contact Capitol Waste at 855-533-3400 to schedule a curbside pick-up of one bulk item per week. Pickups are scheduled for Wednesdays and must be requested no later than Tuesday. Prohibited items should be taken to the Recycling Center. Please click here for the list of acceptable recycling items.
Residents must contact Capitol Waste at 855-533-3400 to schedule a pickup of a maximum of 20 extra trash bags, twice per year, per household. After the resident contacts Capitol to confirm the pick-up date, they must obtain a sticker from the Collector's Office in Room 17 at Town Hall before utilizing this service.
* Please note: EZ Disposal has changed its name to Capitol.
