The Taste of Pembroke returns this year following an 11 year absence, and will be held Saturday October 10, from 1-5PM, at the Pembroke Community Center.

Fraser Townley, Vice President of the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce, is spearheading the event this year.

"Tracy Marino had mentioned it, that it would be great to have it again", and Townley agreed. He is also on the development committee at New England Villages (NEV), an agency in Pembroke that provides residential, employment and community supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2025, we "started putting it about", making more concrete plans to get a new Taste of Pembroke off the ground. The original date was in June of this year, but given the competing events in May and June, the organizers decided to push the date back to October 10.

The Taste of Pembroke has always been held for the benefit of community organizations, and this year's event will support both the Pembroke Community Center, and NEV. When asked how these two groups were chosen this year, Townley said, "The Community Center is always in need of benefactors", and New England Villages also benefits the residents of Pembroke." The event was originally planned to be held at NEV, but it was decided that location might be too disruptive to the residents, so it was moved to the Community Center.

If anyone has been to a previous Taste of Pembroke event, it will feel familiar. There will be restaurants showing off their food, including Disch's and Christina's, as well as a silent auction that will include such items as a baseball signed by David Ortiz. If you are thirsty, there will be beer and wine tasting (for those over 21, of course), and a cash bar. Face painting, a bouncy house and other activities will be on hand for the children, and there will be music provided by local artists. Major sponsors of this event include Big Y, Rockland Trust, and Tiny and Sons.

If you want to buy tickets prior to October 10, you can do so [here](https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/taste-of-pembroke). Buying tickets early will offer a discount on the entry price, which will be $20 for adults, and $6 for children if you buy ahead. This year there is also a family ticket for $50\. If you wait to buy at the door, the prices go up to $30 for adults and $10 for children.
