Traffic enforcement, animal-related calls, and crash investigations highlighted activity for the Pembroke Police Department during the week of August 28 through September 4, 2026\. Officers responded to five motor vehicle crashes, three fraud complaints, numerous suspicious activity reports and a variety of animal-control calls throughout town. Dispatch entries reflect police activity and do not indicate guilt or innocence.

## Motor Vehicle Crashes (5)

• Church Street — Hit-and-run crash (Aug. 28)

• West Elm Street — Crash over $1,000 (Aug. 30)

• Church Street & Old Oak Street — Crash over $1,000 (Aug. 31)

• Church Street (near #718) — Crash over $1,000 (Sept. 1)

• Mattakeesett Street — Hit-and-run crash (Sept. 1)

## Fraud Complaints (3)

• Church Street: This was a report for previous fraudulent checks being used on Aug. 15 and 18th totaling $8,507.66\. This is a commercial address. An additional check from the same account was used in Stoughton for $1,487.35\. Store workers believe a U-Haul was used and a Gray Hyundai Elantra were used by those involved.

• MacDonald Way: A Pembroke citizen reported that was compromised over a three-day period (Aug. 20-22) and that 14 fraudulent transactions occurred totaling $1,100\. The citizen is working with his bank to resolve this issue.
