# Police Blotter: August 7 – August  13,  2026

**During the week of Friday, August 7 through Thursday, August 13, Pembroke Police responded to a variety of calls including an arrest, crashes, fraud complaints, larceny, vandalism, animal complaints and traffic enforcement.**

*Note: All persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.*

## Arrest

An 18-year-old Cohasset man was arrested on the evening of August 10 following a traffic stop on Church Street. Police charged him with refusing to identify himself as a motor vehicle operator, license not in possession and a marked lanes violation.

## Larceny

Police received a larceny report on August 10 on **Mattakeesett Street**. The matter was referred to a police detective.

## Fraud

Police handled **three fraud complaints** during the reporting period.

- **Reservoir Road** — A fraud complaint was reported August 11 and information was recorded.
- **Hazelwood Drive** — A fraud complaint was investigated August 13 and an incident report was prepared.
- **Jeanette Drive** — Police responded to a fraud complaint August 13 and rendered services.

## Vandalism

Police handled two vandalism-related incidents.

- **Lake Street & Station Street** — A miscellaneous vandalism complaint was reported early August 10 and referred to a police detective.
- **Bersani Circle** — Police investigated residential vandalism early August 12 and prepared an incident report.

## Motor Vehicle Crashes

Police responded to several reported crashes during the week, including:

- **Littles Avenue** — Crash reported under $1,000.
- **Mattakeesett Street** — Crash reported over $1,000; an incident report was prepared.
- **Mattakeesett Street & Center Street** — Crash reported under $1,000; responding officers conducted an area search.
- **Church Street** — Crash reported under $1,000.
- **Church Street** — Crash reported over $1,000.
- **Washington Street** — Crash reported under $1,000; an incident report was prepared.
- **Mattakeesett Street** — Crash reported under $1,000.
- **Church Street & Water Street** — Crash reported over $1,000; an accident report was prepared.
- **Archer Avenue** — Crash reported under $1,000.
- **Church Street** — Crash reported over $1,000; an accident report was prepared.
- **Water Street** — Crash reported under $1,000.

## Traffic Enforcement

Officers conducted traffic stops throughout town during the week. The log shows **11 verbal warnings and four citations**.

Traffic enforcement was particularly active on **August 10**, when officers issued four verbal warnings and four citations, in addition to making the Church Street traffic-stop arrest.

### Erratic Operation

Police received **four erratic-operation complaints** during the reporting period:

- **Church Street** — August 7; area search negative.
- **School Street** — August 8; area search negative.
- **Schoosett Street & Brick Kiln Lane** — August 10; information recorded.
- **Mattakeesett Street** — August 12; area search negative.
- **Elm Street** — August 13; area search negative.

### Radar

Police recorded two radar-related activities:

- **Chapel Street** — Radar request on August 10.
- **West Street** — Radar assignment on August 11.

## Recreational Vehicles

Police responded to a recreational vehicle complaint on **Birch Street** on August 10\. Services were rendered.

## Animal Control

Animal Control and Pembroke Police handled several animal-related calls during the week.

- **Hatch Road** — Two animal complaints.
- **High Street** — Animal complaint.
- **Oak Street** — Lost/recovered animal.
- **Pembroke Woods Drive** — Animal bite.
- **Lake Street** — Animal Control initiated activity.
- **Robinson Creek Road** — Animal complaint.
- **Deveuve Lane** — Animal complaint referred to Animal Control.
- **Lake Street** — Animal complaint.
- **Mattakeesett Street** — Animal Control initiated activity.

## Disturbances and Noise Complaints

Police responded to disturbances on **Old Oak Street**, **Pine Circle** and **Corporate Park Drive**. An incident report was prepared following the Old Oak Street call, while peace was restored following the Pine Circle disturbance.

Police also responded to a noise complaint on **Valley Street** on August 9, where peace was restored.

Missing Person

Police responded to a missing person/runaway report on August 8 in the area of **Plymouth Street and Bartlett Street**. The individual was located.
