Meet JT, a 3 yr old American Pit Bull Terrier from Rockland, MA. He loves couch naps, a good chew bone and stealing my shoes to pull out the laces. His favorite thing is being with other dogs. He has happily welcomed many foster dogs into our home. JT was found as a stray in SC and brought to a shelter, trembling and shut down. He came north with Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue. I started fostering him and never let him go. Trusting people is still hard for JT but every once in a while, he comes over for pets or leans into me and I cherish those moments. JT has been one of the hardest dogs I’ve had the privilege of caring for. Knowing a dog you love so much can still be afraid of you isn’t easy but he’s taught me more about patience than any dog I’ve known. If you have the time, patience and the right home, I hope you’ll consider a dog like JT. Watching him feel safe enough to enjoy his life has made it worth it for me. Submitted by Cat Morris
