During the week of Friday, July 17 through Thursday, July 24, 2026, the Pembroke Police logged approximately 265 calls for service. Note that all persons arrested are presumed innocent.
Arrest
A 41-year-old Pembroke man was arrested on July 17 following a disturbance on Warren Terrace. He was charged with Assault and Battery on a Family or Household Member, Resisting Arrest, and was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Traffic Enforcement Hot Spots
The busiest enforcement locations during the week included:
1. West Street – multiple traffic control details and radar assignments.
2. Center Street – radar enforcement, traffic stops, disabled vehicles, and motor vehicle-related calls.
3. Barker Street – traffic control details and multiple traffic stops resulting in verbal warnings.
Citations Issued
No traffic citations were recorded during the reporting period. Officers issued several verbal warnings following traffic stops on:
- Pilgrim Road
- Center Street
- Barker Street (two stops)
- Pleasant Street
Officers also investigated several reports of erratic vehicle operation on Church Street, Mattakeesett Street, School Street, and the Oak Street/Church Street intersection. Radar enforcement was conducted on Mountain Avenue, West Street, Birch Street, Plain Street at Lake Street, Water Street, Center Street, and West Street at Oak Terrace.
Animal Calls
Police responded to one animal complaint on Valley Street. The complaint was referred to the Animal Control Officer for follow-up.
Recreational Vehicle Complaint
On July 23, officers investigated a recreational vehicle complaint on Blueberry Lane. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Larceny
On July 22, police investigated a reported shoplifting/larceny at a business on Church Street. An incident report was prepared for further investigation.
Fraud
Police investigated fraud complaints during the reporting period on:
- Ridge Avenue
- Gurney Drive
Incident reports were prepared in both cases for further investigation.
Illegal Dumping
Police responded to a report of illegal dumping/littering at a business on Washington Street. Services were provided and the matter was documented.
Disturbances
Officers responded to several disturbance calls during the week, including incidents on:
- Warren Terrace (resulting in an arrest)
- Milford Drive
- Mattakeesett Street
- Pembroke Woods Drive
- Mayflower Court
Motor Vehicle Crashes
Police investigated several crashes during the reporting period.
Property-damage crashes under $1,000 occurred on:
- Mattakeesett Street
- Church Street
- James Way
- Center Street
Reportable crashes resulting in accident reports occurred on:
- Mattakeesett Street
- Washington Street
Disabled Motor Vehicles / Tows
Police assisted motorists with disabled vehicles on:
- Center Street (vehicle towed at owner's request)
- Oldham Street
- Dwelley Street
- Church Street
Highway Department Referral
A roadway-related complaint on Mill Pond Road was referred to the Pembroke Department of Public Works for corrective action.
United States Attorney’s Office
The Boston Herald has reported that a 51-year-old Pembroke man, a former United States Postal Inspector, has agreed to plead Guilty to stealing more than $330,000 that had been meant to be sent to elderly people. The plea agreement was scheduled for July 29, 2026.
