During the week of Friday July 3 through Thursday July 10, 2026, the Pembroke Police logged approximately 243 calls of service. Note that all persons arrested are presumed innocent.
Arrest
A 55-year-old Rockland man was arrested on July 5 following an incident on Deveuve Lane. The individual was taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants and was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Traffic Enforcement Hot Spots
The busiest enforcement locations were:
1. Washington Street – 3 traffic stops (all warnings)
2. Church Street (including Church Street only) – 3 traffic stops (1 warning, 2 citations)
3. Plain Street & Lake Street – 2 traffic stops (both warnings)

Officers also investigated several reports of erratic vehicle operation and provided traffic control at the intersection of School and West streets following a motor vehicle crash.
Animal Calls
Animal-related calls kept the Animal Control Officer busy during the week. Police assisted with two lost or recovered animals on Maquan Street and School Street. Officers also responded to animal complaints on Hobomock Street, Mattakeesett Street, and Furnace Lane, with two of the complaints referred to Animal Control for follow-up.
Recreational Vehicle Complaint
On July 4, officers responded to a complaint involving a recreational vehicle in the area of Mattakeesett Street and Josselyn Farm. The matter was investigated and services were provided.
Motor Vehicle Theft
Police investigated the reported theft of a motor vehicle from Pembroke Woods Drive on July 6. The owner of a white 2018 Nissan Pathfinder states she last observed her vehicle July 5, 2026, on Pembroke Woods Drive. The owner of the stolen vehicle stated that she had gone out with a friend and left her car keys and wallet in the center console of his car. The wallet and car keys are missing from said console and her vehicle was taken. The stolen Pathfinder was observed leaving Pembroke Woods Drive at 1:50 AM and then later at 4:45 AM was observed in Stoughton. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations is assisting the Pembroke Police with this ongoing Investigation.
Pothole Report
A pothole reported on Mill Pond Road on July 7 was documented by police and referred to the appropriate town department for corrective action.
Motor Vehicle Crashes
Officers investigated three crashes resulting in property damage exceeding $1,000 during the reporting period. The incidents occurred on Oak Street, at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and High Street, and at the intersection of School Street and West Street.
Larceny
July 8: Police investigated a reported shoplifting/larceny at a business on Church Street. An incident report was prepared for further investigation. (Incident 26-6773).
