During the week of Friday June 19 through Thursday June 25, 2026, the Pembroke Police logged approximately 183 calls of service.
Arrests
Chad Morris, 50 years old, from Pembroke for a warrant.
Daniel King, 45 years old, of Weymouth for motor vehicle offenses.
Animal Control
Received one report of an animal bite on Pine Tree Lane.
There were six complaints about animals: Sparrow Lane, Mattakeesett Street, Forest Street, Mountain Avenue, Congress Street and Center Street.
Motor Vehicles
There were two reported hit and runs, one on Mattakeesett Street and the other on Church Street. The Police reported that the Mattakeesett Street incident is believed to have occurred sometime during the night of Saturday June 20, 2026. According to the responding police officer it, “appeared that a vehicle had ran partially off the road to the right, striking his mailbox and a speed street sign." The victim stated to the officer that he had found a small piece of plastic that said “FORD” on it.
Radar was deployed on 5 occasions: Center Street, Wampatuck Street, Washington Street, Barker Street and High Street.
There were 20 traffic stops that resulted in 12 warnings and three citations issued to drivers. In four of the stops, the officer reported that information was recorded and one stop resulted in a police report. In another stop at Pembroke Woods Drive near Oak Street, the officer reported that a car was towed/impounded for allegedly being uninsured and subsequently found to be unregistered.
There were four crashes under $1000 and two crashes over $1000.
There was one report of erratic operation on School Street.
There were two reports of recreational vehicle use — one on Blueberry Lane and the other on Center Street.
Property Crimes
There was one report of fraud on Elmer Avenue.
There were two reports of vandalism:
At 801 Washington Street a citizen believes that someone had “keyed” his 2011 Toyota Camry.
Also at 801 Washington Street, another citizen believes that someone damaged their 2020 Nissan Rogue with a substance put on the hood of the car that caused the paint to chip.
The complainants are related to each other.
Property Damage
On Thursday June 25, 2026 at about 5:52 p.m. in the area of Mattakeesett Street and Furnace Lane a tree fell, reason unknown, and obstructed traffic in both directions on Mattakeesett Street. Additionally, two motor vehicles parked at the location of the tree were damaged.
