Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC) assists towns and cities in planning for present and future needs. OCPC includes 17 communities, including Pembroke. OCPC was established in part to address local challenges that cross city and town boundaries, like air and water pollution, transportation deficiencies, and economic distress for the Southeast Coast region of Massachusetts.
OCPC will be hosting collaborative forums on two initiatives this month. On Monday June 15th at 6:00 PM they will host a meeting at the Pembroke Public Library to discuss the Pembroke Housing Production Plan. The comprehensive plan is available on the Planning Board page of Town of Pembroke website: https://www.pembroke-ma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1745/Pembroke-Housing-Production-Plan?bidId=
The Old Colony Planning Council will also be offering meetings regarding their Plymouth County Resilient Local Food Action Plan. The first will be held on Monday June 22nd 6:30 PM at Plymouth Town Hall 26 Court Street Plymouth, MA. The second will be hosted on June 23rd at the Brockton Public Library, 304 Main Street Brockton, MA. Further information about this plan can be found here: https://www.pembroke-ma.gov/m/newsflash/home/detail/52

OCPC was recently honored by the American Planning Association for its collaborative 2025 Regional Water Plan, which addressed PFAS treatment, drought management, and long-term water resilience across the south shore.
