Pembroke Citizen Journal photographer Brittany Murphy was one of 12 artists chosen by the Local Seen to showcase her work interpreting the theme "Hallowed, Haunted, Historic."
Murphy was chosen as one of 12 local artists to display their interpretations of the mysterious thin veil between the past and the present. The show opened on Oct. 23 at the Local Seen Studio office in Plymouth. The Local Seen said that the art show was funded in part by a grant from the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund, which was started in 1993 to promote the town of Plymouth.
Murphy works as a staff photographer at PCJ and you can see her work throughout the paper. She has worked with the paper since publication began earlier this year. Congratulations for a job well done, Brittany!

The showcased artists were chosen from many artistic mediums which amplified the theme. There were works of 2D and 3D art, and photos, and according to the Local Seen information, these works explored "the shadows and contours of sacred spaces, the supernatural, reverence, hauntings, esoteric existences, New England lore, architectural relics, and time preserved in the physical world."
The current exhibit will be open for public viewing until Feb. 11 and can be seen at the Gallery at the Local Seen Studio offices, 4 Collins Ave, Plymouth.
