Meet Black Kitty, this week's PCJ Pet of the Week.
Black Kitty adopted us. We were renting a house in Middleborough and he would show up in our yard and just hang out. It got to be a regular thing and soon he was sitting in our laps and cuddling. Black Kitty spent more and more time with us and became one of the family. He quickly earned nicknames like puddles and purr monster. A neighbor told us he'd been wandering the neighborhood for a long time and no one knew if he had a home. When it came time to leave and move into our new house we couldn't leave him behind. Black Kitty is now a much-loved family member. He makes frequent appearances when we have company over, especially when we have a Halloween party. Friends and family all know Black Kitty and ask about him frequently. Now it's more like he owns us and not the other way around. I think that's what he planned all along.
